The Wolves got on the board first with a goal in about 40 seconds to get the game going.  LMU won the next faceoff but could not keep it on their offensive side.  Newberry struck again with two more goals to get up 3-0 in just 4 minutes of the first quarter.  Haden Berry won the next faceoff for Rhodes Conroy to assist Gavin Reid to get the Railsplitters a goal and stop the run of the Wolves.  Francis O'Hara then put up two goals at 1:20 and 0:03 seconds left in the first quarter to tie the score 3-3.

LMU wanted to be the first on the board in the second but were missing wide and up high.  Francis O'Hara found himself a hat trick getting them up by one and having their first lead of the game.  Newberry tied it back up to make it 4-4.  The Wolves then got on another 3-0 run in this quarter before Matthew Wood shot and made a goal with just 0:01 second remaining before the half, making the score 7-5.

The Railsplitters could not find the back of the net in the third quarter as Newberry got in a rhythm on an 8-goal run, having the lead going into the fourth quarter 15-8.

The Wolves in this quarter couldn't find the back of the net as Hunter Rinehart was making saves at any shot on goal.  Finally, after about nine minutes in the fourth, Cayden McClure found himself a goal, making it 15-6, trying to gain some momentum.  Daniel Pearl and Rhodes Conroy scored one goal each making the final score 15-8.
