The Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team received an at-large bid as the No. 3 seed in the Southeast Regional of the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament and will face No. 6 seed Lander in Augusta, Ga.

The Railsplitters (27-4) will play the Bearcats (22-9) at noon on Saturday at Augusta's Christenberry Fieldhouse in the first game of the Regional. The winner of the first round matchup moves on to face the victor of No. 2 seed UNC Pembroke and No. 7 seed North Georgia.

Lincoln Memorial won 87-86 at North Georgia back on Nov. 19 in a regular season clash with the NightHawks. Other previous opponent this season for the Railsplitters in the region include No. 4 seed USC Aiken (90-69 win on Nov. 12 in Greeneville, Tenn.) and No. 5 seed Catawba (77-64 win on Jan. 28 in Harrogate), who are scheduled to play in the final game of the first day at 7:30 p.m.

Winners of the regional quarterfinal will advance to the semifinal on Sunday, as Lincoln Memorial would play at 5 p.m. if it wins against Lander. The regional championship game is set for Tuesday, March 14 at 7 p.m.

The Railsplitters won the South Atlantic Conference regular season championship (16-2) and went on an 18-game winning streak to highlight the season so far.
