Men's Lacrosse Falls in Tough Game against Catawba

Men's Lacrosse traveled to North Carolina to take on the Catawba College Chiefs in a tough SAC matchup.

The first quarter was back and forth between shots fired on each side.  Catawba got on the board first with just four minutes left this quarter.  With a minute left, Gavin Reid got a goal to make the end-of-the-quarter score 1-1.  
 
Reid assisted Rhodes Conroy within two minutes of the second quarter starting.  Catawba then quickly tied it up to try and get on a run as they scored just a few minutes later, making it 2-3.  Gavin Reid was able to tie it up as he scored again with an assist from Jenson Jones.  Catawba then went on a 4-0 run making it 3-7 until Kevin Jendrasik assisted Conroy to stop the run, making the score in this quarter 4-7.  
 
Catawba came out of halftime scoring two goals back-to-back.  Gavin Reid scored his third of the day to try and bring the score closer.  Kevin Jendrasik scored just a few seconds after, making the score 6-9.  Jendrasik then assisted Reid making it his fourth and final goal, bringing it within two.  The end of the quarter score was 7-9. 
 
Jordan Sullivan was leading the defense by getting caused turnovers to get the ball back on the offensive side to try and take over this game.  
 
Catawba again came out, scoring back-to-back goals.  LMU responded with back-to-back goals from Francis O'Hara and Kevin Jendrasik.  Catawba scored again, making the score 9-12 with seven minutes left in the final quarter.  Daniel Pearl scored with three minutes left in the game, but it was not enough, as the final score was 10-12.  
 
Notables:
Gavin Reid led with four goals.
Kevin Jendrasik – two goals, two assists. 
Rhodes Conroy – two goals. 
Francis O'Hara and Daniel Pearl each had one goal. 
Jordan Sullivan led the defense with four caused turnovers and five ground balls.  
Michael Rogers had four ground balls. 
 
Next Up:
LMU will return to Harrogate to take on Anderson University in their last regular season game as they celebrate their seniors Saturday, April 22nd at 4 pm after the women's game.
