WISE, Va. – The Lincoln Memorial baseball team drubbed UVA Wise 20-7 on Monday at Stallard Field in the rubber match of the 3-game series.
The Railsplitters (23-16, 10-11 South Atlantic Conference) trailed 5-3 entering the 6
th inning but put the game away by putting 10 runs on the board against the Cavaliers (15-30, 4-17 SAC).
Cameron Bowen hit a 3-run homerun and
Andrew Keene hit a 2-run shot to highlight the big 6
th for Lincoln Memorial.
Ryan Kurth nailed a 2 RBI homer in the 7
th inning to add on.
Kurth (4-for-4, 4 RBI and 4 runs) and Bowen (5 RBI and 2 runs) led the offensive outburst for the visiting Railsplitters.
Matthew Delph improved to 1-3 after 5.1 innings of 2-run ball and 5 strikeouts out of the bullpen. Nash Bingham was hit with the loss to fall to 1-2.
Lincoln Memorial hosts Kentucky State on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the final midweek game of the regular season.
