Women's Lax Dominates on Senior Day

Harrogate, TN - The Lady Railsplitters were home this afternoon taking on the Anderson Trojans. Today the lacrosse program honored six seniors, Ryann Doyle, Jamie Small, Kelly Csenar, Tyelar Rohman, Jolee Davis, and Sierra Landsman. LMU took the victory 20-13, over the Trojans on Senior Day.
 
 
In the 1st period, Jaedyn Ryba started things off for LMU by scoring the team's first goal. Chandler Bell had a groundball pickup, getting the ball to Ali Van Der Ziel, allowing her to assist Ryann Doyle for a goal. In the 2nd period, Lincoln Memorial came up with the draw control and Jaedyn Ryba picked up a groundball which led her to assist Josie Tinnerello with a goal. Josie Tinnerello scored another goal assisted by Jaedyn Ryba. Jaedyn Ryba then closed out the half with an unassisted goal.
 
After the half, Josie Tinnerello quickly gets one in goal to kick things off for the Railsplitters. Lincoln Memorial had a free position attempt and pulled back to dish the ball to Ali Van Der Ziel so she could fire one past the goalie, scoring LMU's 7th goal of the game. There were 3 back to back to back goals by: Josie Tinnerello assisted by Breanna Booth, Jaedyn Ryba (unassisted), and Ryann Doyle assisted by Breanna Booth. To close out the period there were another 3 goals all back to back to back by: Ryann Doyle assisted by Ali Van Der Ziel, and 2 by Josie Tinnerello assisted by Chandler Bell and Ali Van Der Ziel. Going into the final period, LMU was leading 13-11. Kelly Csenar went back to back goals, assisted by Ali Van Der Ziel and Breanna Booth. Ali Van Der Ziel then scored on a free position shot. Josie Tinnerello and Haleigh Barnett scored back to back goals, assisted both by Ali Van Der Ziel. 2 of our seniors closed out the game with goals, Ryann Doyle assisted by Ali Van Der Ziel and Jamie Small (unassisted).
 
The Lady Railsplitters finished their regular season schedule today, taking the victory over Anderson 20-13. LMU improves to 9-8 overall and 5-5 in conference.
