Gaffney, SC – The Lady Railsplitters traveled to South Carolina to take on the Limestone Saints in the SAC Championship Tournament Quarterfinals. Lincoln Memorial upset the No. 3 Seed Limestone, defeating them 18-15. LMU is now 10-8 overall.
In period 1, Limestone came up with the first draw control and took the first shot of the game, where
Elle Miller had the first save.
Elle Miller had a groundball and a good clear down the field.
Ryann Doyle scored the first goal of the game assisted by
Ali Van Der Ziel.
Breanna Booth scored another goal off a free position shot.
Josie Tinnerello followed it up with a goal assisted by
Ali Van Der Ziel. In period 2, Limestone was ahead by 1 goal, until
Josie Tinnerello scored assisted by
Chandler Bell after the first draw control by
Ryann Doyle.
Ryann Doyle came up with another draw control and scored her 2
nd goal of the game assisted by
Chandler Bell.
Ryann Doyle followed that up with a goal on a free position shot.

After the half,

Jaedyn Ryba had a groundball pickup and moved the ball into Saints territory to allow

The Lady Railsplitters upset the SAC No. 3 Seed Limestone 18-15, and will be advancing to the Semifinal Round of the SAC Championship Tournament. LMU will be taking on the No. 2 Seed Newberry in Matthews, NC Friday April 28, 2023 at 7 pm.
