Three Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

USTFCCCA Press Release

Anthony Jordan, Elizabeth Close and Amanda Lisi have been named All-Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the USTFCCCA announced Wednesday.

In order to earn the honor, student-athletes needed to finish Top 5 in their region in the respective event, with Lincoln Memorial competing in the Southeast region.

Jordan, a graduate student out of Adel, Ga., tied for 44th nationally in the long jump with his 7.36m (24' 1.75") leap on March 24. The jump was good for fourth in the South Atlantic Conference.

Close, a senior out of Somerset, Pa., like Jordan, posted a school record in her event, this one being the heptathlon at 3,964 points at the SAC Outdoor Championships.

Lisi, a dual-sport freshman out of Wauconda, Ill., had the third-best high jump in the SAC with a leap of 1.60m (5' 3") on March 17 to set another program record.
