Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial Women's Soccer improves to 7-2-1 on the season, 3-0-1 in conference play, after their 1-0 win against Coker on Saturday.Â
LMU would be the aggressor once again in the matchup, taking 15 total shots (7 on goal) in comparison to CU's three total shots, two on goal. Both of these shots on goal would come in the first half, but Lincoln Memorial goalkeeper
Bente Latenstein would save both, keeping the score at 0-0 heading into halftime.Â
The second half is where the Lady Splitter attacking efforts would finally prevail with
Corrine Denton earning her second goal of the season through an assist from
Indy Meerding. Despite more chances for LMU, none would connect, making the final score 1-0 in favor of the home Lady Railsplitters.
LMU returns to the field Tuesday, October 3rd, for a 1 PM matchup in Harrogate against Mars HIl University.Â
