Newberry, SC - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team defeats Newberry 3-0 Saturday afternoon. This win starts a win streak for the Lady Railsplitters.
Hannah Stafford got LMU on the board early when she scored off of an
Alicia Bevins assist in the 11th minute, which would be her first goal of the season. Not too long after,
Jade Brown scores her second goal of the season in the 22nd minute unassisted.
Elizabeth Butler also scored her first goal of the season in the 35th minute, unassisted.Â
Lincoln Memorial was able to keep Newberry off of the board for the entirety of the game to get their second shut out of the season.Â
Despite the 15 shots Newberry was able to get off, Lincoln Memorial stayed strong defensively as only two of those shots were on goal.
With this win, the Lady Railsplitters improve to 4-4-2 overall and 2-2-2 in te SAC.Â
