Harrogate, TN- Lincoln Memorial Women's Volleyball took down Limestone tonight in Harrogate in three sets: 25-17, 26-24, 25-17.
The first set would feature a balanced attack from the Splitters, five athletes earning at least one kill in the frame. The defense would also set the tone for the match, LMU tallying six total blocks to help gain the early lead. The second would be one of runs, each team stringing together several points. Lincoln Memorial would stay in the attacking mindset, however, doubling Limestone's kill tally (20 to 10) in the set. The Splitters wouldn't look back, posting their best offensive set of the match with a .387 hitting percentage on zero attack errors to close out the match.Â
Abigail Kesler and
Agata Bogdanska would be the kill leaders on the night, Kesler earning 13 on a .367 percentage with Bogdanska posting an impressive .909 percentage for 10 kills of her own.
Lauren Pickett would continue to distribute, posting 35 assists for the contest.
Megan Maier's contributions would heavily impact the serve column, Maier tallying five service aces on the night.Â
LMU moves to 14-6 on the season, 8-5 in conference play. The Railsplitters will return to the court on Tuesday, October 29th, for a 7 PM contest with Emory & Henry at Mary Mars in Harrogate.
