Bera, OH - The Lincoln Memorial women's wrestling team had a strong showing in the Baldwin Wallace Open in Bera, OH over the weekend. Shontica Taft claimed a tech fall victory in the 145 quarterfinal over Marissa Delacruz of Montreat. Sophia Walls fell to MaKayla Gowell in the 138 first place bout. In the third place bout of the 138 class, Stepahnie Castro defeated Virginia Chapates of Alma by tech fall, 11-0. Taft defeated Hattie Hobar of Baldwin Wallace in the 3rd place bout of the 145 class as well.
