Harrogate, TN - The 14th-ranked Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team will put its four game conference winning streak on the line on the road at Newberry on Saturday. The teams were slated to meet up in Harrogate in late November, but the game was moved to Feb. 9. Instead, the Railsplitters will travel
to Newberry for the first of two match ups between the two teams this season.
Lincoln Memorial is currently 6-1 on the season and remain unblemished in conference play with a 4-0 record in SAC play. It's the best start in conference play for the Railsplitters since the 22-23 season; Lincoln Memorial advanced all the way to the Elite 8 that season. Newberry enters the game with a 4-5 record overall, including a 1-4 mark in conference play with its lone win coming by way of a 98-91 decision at Mars Hill.
The Railsplitters are extremely well-balanced as a team, with nearly five players averaging double figures.
Wes Enis leads the team in scoring with 16.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per-game.
Elyjah Freeman is the team's second leading scorer with 14.3 points-per-game and leads the team in rebounding with 6.7 rebounds-per-game.
EJ Smith averages 12.6 point-per-game and 3.2 assists per-game.
Jordan Walters is averaging 11.1 points and is second on the team in rebounding averaging six rebounds-per-game.
Osmar Garcia-Araujo is the fifth-leading scorer on the team with 9.8 points-per-game, averaging three rebounds-per-game.
Tip-off between the Railsplitters and Wolves is slated for 2:00 PM.
