Men's basketball seeking fourth straight conference win, hosts Anderson Saturday

Harrogate, TN - You couldn't ask for a much better start to the season for the Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team. The Railsplitters currently hold a 5-1 overall record, remaining unblemished in conference play at 3-0. Lincoln Memorial has defeated Mars Hill, Catawba, and most recently Limestone, earning three straight conference victories. Lincoln Memorial currently only trails Coker (4-0) in the South Atlantic Conference men's basketball standings.

The Railsplitters are playing well on both sides of the floor, averaging nearly 88 points-per-game, while limiting their opposition to an average of 74.8 points-per-game. The most impressive and glaring stat for Lincoln Memorial at this juncture of the season is the assist-to-FG ratio. The Railsplitters are averaging an incredible 15.2 assists-per-game on an average of 29.3 made FG per-game, meaning that more than 50% of Lincoln Memorial's field goals are assisted. The Railsplitters, on average, hold their opposition to just seven assists-per-game.

Lincoln Memorial is led in scoring by the defending SAC Freshman of the Year, Wes Enis, who averages 17.7 points-per-game and 4.3 rebounds per-game. He is followed by Elyjah Freeman, averaging 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds-per-game. EJ Smith averages 12.7 points-per-game and leads the team with 3.4 assists-per-game. Jordan Walters is averaging 11 points and 6.2 rebounds per-game and is second on the team in assists with 18, averaging three assists per game.
