Harrogate, TN - The Lady Railsplitters fall to the Anderson Trojans Saturday afternoon 59-71.
In the first quarter, the Trojans outscored LMU 18-22; this would be the highest scoring quarter of the game for Lincoln Memorial. Scoring was equal in the second, as each team posted 16 points. The score going into the half was 34-38 with Anderson taking the lead. At the half, LMU was 14-32 from the field and 4-11 from the three.
In the third, Anderson once again outscored LMU 10-13. Going into the fourth, the score was 44-53. The Trojans took the fourth in scoring 15-18. which solidified their win 59-71.
Alexa Smiddy led in scoring on the night with 22 points along with 4 assists.
Kamil Collier and
Caroline Sikkink also scored double-figured, with Collier registering 15 points and 6 rebounds, and Sikkink posting 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Matty Tanner scored 7 points and 4 rebounds ,
Asia Barr recorded 2 points, and
Jamyah Winter registered 3 points.
Lincoln Memorial went 37% from the field and 23.5% from the three. They went 81.8% from the free throw line and posted 29 rebounds.
With the loss, the Lady Railsplitters move to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play. For their next game, they will travel to Newberry, SC to face Newberry on December 14th at 2 pm.
