Wise, VA - Four days after a substantial win over Mars Hill at home, the Lincoln Memorial Lady Splitters took to the road for a match up with the UVA-Wise Lady Cavs, seeking to extend their winning streak to three games. Lincoln Memorial entered the contest with a 14-6 record overall, including a 9-5 mark in conference play. UVA-Wise entered the game with an overall record of 11-12, including a 7-8 mark in conference play, riding a two game winning streak of its own.
Lincoln Memorial found itself locked in a hard-fought contest throughout the first half. In the opening stanza, the teams traded buckets. Lincoln Memorial received contributions in the scoring column from 
Jordan Maney, 
Lauren Flowers, 
Chloe Savage, 
Sophie Henry, and 
Jamyah Winter to maintain a slim 14-13 lead at the first horn. 
Geovana Rios hauled in five rebounds in the first quarter. The second quarter was much of the same with Rios, 
Matty Tanner, and 
Zyan Smith getting in on the scoring action. UVA-Wise outscored Lincoln Memorial 15-14 in the period to knot the game at 28-28 at the half.
The Lady Splitters came out aggressive to start the second half, taking a six point lead early in the period. However, the Lady Cavs continued to hang around, leaving Lincoln Memorial with a slim 35-32 lead midway through the third quarter with 4:31 remaining. UVA-Wise gained the lead on the heels of an 8-1 run to take a 40-36 lead with 1:23 remaining in the third period. The Lady Splitters answered by knotting the game up at 40-40 by the end of the third, keeping in theme with the rest of the game, as it remained tight heading into the final frame.
A pair of free throws from 
Alexa Smiddy were the game's first points in the fourth quarter, giving Lincoln Memorial the lead, 42-40, spurning a 12-0 run that spanned nearly eight minutes. .A lay up from Rios and a short range jumper from Flowers saw the lead grow to six, 46-40, just moments later. Flowers again connected on a shot, prompting UVA-Wise to make a mass substitution as the Lady Splitters took the largest lead of the game to that point, for either team, at 48-40 with six minutes remaining in the game. By the 4:25 mark, Lincoln Memorial had held UVA-Wise without a single point in the fourth quarter, and had limited the Lady Cavs to 0-8 from long range for the duration of the game. Smiddy added a three point bucket out of the media timeout to extend the Lady Splitters' lead to 51-40. A free throw from C. Savage saw the lead grow to 12, 52-40, limiting the Lady Cavs to zero points in the quarter by the 2:00 minute mark. The scoring drought ended with a Lady Cavs' lay up, drawing the score back to 52-42. UVA-Wise implemented a full court press in an effort to mount a final comeback in the final 1:30 of the game. Although the Lady Cavs outscored the Lady Splitters 12-7 over the final minute in a half, the damage had been done, allowing Lincoln Memorial to secure the 59-54 victory.

Sophie Henry added two points to round out scoring for the Lady Splitters. 
With the victory, Lincoln Memorial improved to 15-6 on the season with a 10-5 mark in conference play.
