Men's basketball seeking third straight against Wingate

Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, playing host to Wingate. Scheduled to take on UVA-Wise on the road earlier this week, the game was postponed and moved to Feb. 26, due to illness. With a week of rest, the Railsplitters are seeking to secure their third straight victory and exact revenge against the Bulldogs for an early season loss on the road. Lincoln Memorial enters the contest with a record of 17-6 overall with an 11-3 mark in conference play. Wingate enters the game with a 19-5 record overall with a 14-2 mark in conference play.

The Railsplitters are led in scoring by freshman Wes Enis, who through 12 games is averaging 16.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Me'Kell Burries follows closely with an average of 16.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Chase Rankin averages a very well-balanced stat line, scoring an average of 14.6 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds per game and 5.6 assists per game. Senior forward Martez Brown continues to lead not only the conference, but the nation in rebounding, field goal percentage, and double-doubles. Earlier this week, Brown was named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 50 Watch List for the best player in small college basketball.

Tip-off for the Railsplitters and Bulldogs is slated for 4:00 PM and can be found streaming online through FloSports at: https://flosports.link/46wuCiL
