Women's lacrosse falls to Rollins on the road

Winter Park, FL - The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team was back in action in the Sunshine state, part of a three game road stand in Florida. After falling to #9 Flagler on Friday, the Lady Splitters took to Winter Park for a match up with Rollins College. Much like the Flagler game, Lincoln Memorial struggled to find offense, allowing #7 Rollins to secure a 21-4 victory.

Things started off the right way for Lincoln Memorial. On a man-advantage, the Lady Splitters netted the game's first goal as Amber Kirkpatrick fired a missile on the assist from Jaiden Jaynes, taking an early 1-0 lead. Rollins responded with four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead. Lincoln Memorial responded with a goal from Jaynes, assisted by Chandler Bell, cutting the score back to 4-2. Rollins went on to score the game's next 14 goals unanswered to take a commanding 18-2 lead in the closing seconds of the third quarter. The Lady Splitters would add two more goals, one apiece from Kirkpatrick and Jaynes, seeing the game brought to its final score, 21-4.

With the loss, the Lady Splitters moved to 1-4 on the season. Lincoln Memorial will take on its third consecutive ranked opponent on Tuesday, traveling to Lynn.
