Boca Raton, FL - The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team traveled to the Sunshine State to take on three straight ranked opponent in Lynn University, after falling to a ranked Flagler squad and a ranked Rollins team in succession.
Lynn controlled the game from the first draw, jumping out to a quick 8-0 lead after the first period. The Lady Splitters began to fight back in the second quarter as
Amber Kirkpatrick found the net on an assist from
Jaiden Jaynes to bring the score to 8-1. Just 1:30 later, on a man-advantage,
Hailey Rizzo tallied the second straight goal for Lincoln Memorial with an assist from
Chandler Bell, cutting the score to 8-2. The Lady Knights strung together another run, this time scoring six consecutive goals to take a substantial 14-2 lead in the third quarter. Kirkpatrick and
Liza Buckner added one more goal each for Lincoln Memorial, but Lynn inevitably secured a 17-4 victory, seeing the Lady Splitters fall to 1-5 on the season.
Lincoln Memorial will be back in action at home on Saturday, March 2, versus Limestone.
