Harrogate, TN - Just two days after a heartbreaking loss on the road at Newberry, the Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team is slated to be back in action on Monday night, traveling to Wise, VA for a rescheduled game with the UVA-Wise Cavaliers. The game was rescheduled from Feb. 14 to Feb. 26 following an outbreak of illness on the UVA-Wise men's team. The Railsplitters enter the game with a record of 19-7 with a 13-4 mark in conference play. The Cavaliers are 10-15 on the season with a 6-11 record in conference play.
Lincoln Memorial is led in scoring by freshman
Wes Enis, who through 15 games is averaging 16.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Me'Kell Burries follows closely with an average of 16.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Chase Rankin averages a very well-balanced stat line, scoring an average of 14.3 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game. Senior forward
Martez Brown continues to lead not only the conference, but the nation, in rebounding, field goal percentage, and double-doubles. Brown was previously named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 50 Watch List for the best player in small college basketball. He is averaging 14.0 points and an astonishing 14.4 rebounds per game.
Tip-off between the Railsplitters and Cavaliers is slated for 6:00 PM in Wise, VA.
