Huntsville, AL- The Lady Railsplitters Softball team dropped their first two games of the Charger Chillout today, Thursday, February 8th, hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
The first game of the day would have LMU facing off with Georgia Southwestern State, with the Lady Railsplitters falling 1-7. Hannah Bogoski would earn the lone RBI for the team on the day, scoring
Reese Vivrette in the fifth inning.
Nicole Couvertiere would also feature the only multi-hit performance for the team in the game.
The second game would have the squad facing the host team, Alabama-Huntsville. Nine hits from the Chargers and a couple of errors from LMU would allow UAH to catch momentum. The bats would be slow to get going for Lincoln Memorial, however, only earning two hits on the game and leaving the final score at 0-8.
The Lady Railsplitters fall to 1-5 on the season and will return to action for another double feature tomorrow in Day Two of the Charger Chillout, set to face Shorter and Montevallo at 1 PM and 3:30 PM, respectively.Â
