Princeton, NJ- The Railsplitters took down the #10 ranked Princeton Tigers on Friday in New Jersey. Their four set win would be the second on the season over a ranked opponent, helping the team improve to 7-2 on the year.
After dropping the first set 18-25, the Railsplitters would find themselves down 18-21 in the second set. LMU would amp up the pressure to go on a seven point run and win the second 25-21. Lincoln Memorial wouldn't look back, staying in control and taking both the third and fourth sets for the win, despite pressure from the Tigers to try and swing the momentum back their way.
Johan Negron and
Ethan Morgan would lead the team on the day in kills, both recording 11. Morgan would do so on an impressive .733 hitting percentage to go alongside his six block assists on the night.
Matthew Gentry would contribute nine kills and five block assists of his own. Setter
Kohl Kutsch would seal the win for the team, posting an impressive stat line of five kills on a .667 attack percentage, 38 assists, 3 assisted blocks, a solo block, and 11 digs.Â
