Emory, VA- LMU Softball got the sweep on the road today, Saturday, March 16th, over Emory & Henry. Both wins would be in dominant fashion, taking the first 10-1 and the second by a score of .

The first game of the doubleheader would be an offensive showing, nine Railsplitters recording at least one hit on the game. Anna Kate Reichter and Gracie Palmer would lead the way, each having three in hits in the contest. Katie Tuggle and Madison Henry would both be key batters in the game, earning three and two RBIs, respectively. Lincoln Memorial would prove its dominance on offense, totaling 15 hits on the day, scoring 10 runs, and still leaving 15 runners on the base path. Margot van Eijl earns the win in her complete game, four strikeout performance to improve her to 8-6 on the season.

The momentum wouldn't stall, Lincoln Memorial rolling to score even more runs in the second contest. Seven Splitters would enter the hit column, Katy Pozzuto, Hannah McMeen, Palmer, and Henry being the multi-hit performers for this one. The team would collect 18 RBIs, four for Pozzuto, three for Henry, Reagan, and den Duijn, and two for Reese Vivrette. Jordann Reagan would get hers via three run homer to left field in the third while Sterre den Duijn's would come through a three run bomb to right field in the fourth. Aslynn Lupton gets the win in the contest, moving to 1-1 on the year. 

Lincoln Memorial improves to 17-13 (4-2) on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday, March 20th, to travel to Mars Hill for a 1 PM/3 PM doubleheader.
