Harrogate, TN - The Railsplitters are geared up and ready to showcase their talent and determination as they prepare to compete in the Scots Invitational, hosted in Maryville, Tennessee.
With a roster packed with skilled athletes across various events, Lincoln Memorial University's track and field team is poised to make an impact at the meet.
The two-day event will be held at the Austin Coleman Piper Memorial Track.
On the men's side, athletes like Spencer Baldwin and Cash Coggin are set to take on the challenge of the 1500m event, aiming to demonstrate their speed and endurance on the track. Meanwhile, Jaxson Branham and Jayce Daniels will represent the Railsplitters in the demanding 5000m race, showcasing their long-distance prowess.
Connor Chandler is ready to tackle the challenging 3000m steeplechase, while Sam Fulton and Alex Kuntz are set to make their mark in the 1500m event. Kuntz and Jacey Grabeel with both feature in the Men's 800m.
The field events will see athletes like Hank Fisher, Avery Hatfield, and Alex Yager competing in events such as javelin, shot put, discus, and hammer throw, aiming to propel the team to success.
On the women's side, athletes like Aubrey Bachtel, Weslyn McIntosh, and Olivia Truelove are prepared to showcase their endurance in the 3000m race, while Trinity Hine and Maggie Sanderson are gearing up for the 400m and 200m sprints respectively, aiming to sprint their way to victory.
Lidija Djokic will tackle the 400m hurdles, while Emily McPherson and Sterling Webb aim to soar to new heights in the high jump. Maggie Sanderson will also join in on the long jump.
Field events will see Kylee Alvis, Nevaeh Kerns, and Cate Turner competing in shot put, hammer throw, and discus, demonstrating their strength and technique. Additionally, Sara Winegar is set up to compete in the 200m and shot put.
