Reagan Steps Up as LMU Splits with Limestone

Harrogate, TN- Softball would split their doubleheader with Limestone on Saturday, dropping the first game 2-13 and taking the second 17-5. 
 

Limestone would strike first in game one, scoring two in the first. LMU's Madison Henry would help try and find an answer with an RBI double in the second to close the gap. The Saints would continue to put pressure on offensively, scoring four more runs in the third and tallying seven in the fifth inning. Jordann Reagan would come on to pinch hit in the bottom of the fifth. Her RBI single would add another run to the board, but LMU would be unable to plate any more to extend the first contest. 


In the second, Limestone would come out strong once again, plating five in the of the first. Lincoln Memorial's answer would be much quicker this time, Katie Tuggle and Henry both hitting RBI singles to close the lead to 3-5. Katy Pozzuto would step up and hit a double in the second, tying the game up at 5. Reagan would continue her impressive day at the plate, hitting a grand slam to give the Railsplitters their first lead of the day. Tuggle, Henry, and Reagan would all do it again in the third, all three earning RBI hits to grow the lead in the third inning. The fourth would feature Henry and Reagan yet again, both with singles to reach the final 17-5 score. Henry and Reagan would both finish game two going a perfect 3-3 from the plate, Reagan earning eight RBI in the contest. 

LMU moves to 24-22 (11-11) on the year. Their next action will be a double feature at Wingate on Saturday, April 20th, starting at 12 PM.
