Murfeesboro, TN- Women's volleyball swept the Chowan Invitational this weekend, winning both of Saturday morning's contests in 3-0 fashion.Â
LMU would dominate the stat categories against Newberry, hitting .261 for the match on 37 kills. Megain Maier would be the game's kill leader, earning 10 in the matchup.
Kristen Moehring would find other ways to contribute, serving for eight aces in the contest.
Agata Bogdanska and Abagail Kesler would prove to be a force at the net, going for five and four blocks, respectively. Continuing on the defensive side, three Splitters would have double-digit digs in Moehring,
Lauren Jacob, and
Reagan Wilkerson.
Rinse and repeat in the second game for the team, sweeping Chowan and posting 36 kills, 42 digs, and seven more aces in the contest. Moehring would lead the team in kills, earning eleven in the game. Maier and Wilkerson would each record three aces apiece.
Katherine Bedel would come up big on the defensive side, tallying five blocks while Wilkerson, Jacob, and Maier would also contribute, all three with double-digit digs.Â
Lincoln Memorial moves to 3-0 on the season and will return to action on Tuesday, September 10th, for a road contest against Carson-Newman University starting at 7 PM in the Hold Fieldhouse in Jefferson City, TN.Â
