6th-ranked Railsplitters seeking regular season sweep of Wingate

Harrogate, TN -  Three days after dismantling Emory & Henry at home 81-55, the 6th-ranked Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team will take to the road on Saturday seeking a regular season sweep of Wingate after downing the Bulldogs at home earlier in the season 85-78. Lincoln Memorial sets atop the conference standings with an overall record of 14-2, including a 12-1 mark in conference play. Wingate enters the contest with an overall record of 7-8, including a 6-7 mark in conference play.

Lincoln Memorial's offense is led by Wes Enis, who averages 20.3 points-per-game and 4.7 rebounds-per-game, he tallied 20 points at home against Emory & Henry to lead all scorers. He is the second leading scorer in the conference, trailing the conference's leader (Wingate's K. Taylor) by 1.6 points-per-game. He is followed in scoring by Elyjah Freeman with 18.2 points-per-game and 8.9 rebounds-per-game. He is now the third best rebounder in the conference, trailing the conference leader by .5 rebounds per game.. Freeman is the highest scoring and rebounding freshman in the conference. EJ Smith continues to facilitate the offense, averaging 9.6 points-per-game. Jordan Walters is on the cusp of double figures, averaging 9.5 points-per-game to go along with 5.7 rebounds and a team-leading 3.8 assists-per-game.

So far on the season, Lincoln Memorial has held every opponent it's faced to less than its season average in points scored per game. The Railsplitters are currently fifth in the nation in field goal percentage and eighth in offensive efficiency.  Lincoln Memorial is ranked first in the conference in fast break points, defensive field goal percentage, free throws made per game, scoring margin, and winning percentage. Walters is 14th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio. Freeman is 18th nationally in double-doubles and first in the conference with seven double-doubles. He is also 18th nationally in field goal percentage. Enis is 11th in the nation in three point field goal percentage, shooting nearly 46% from long range.

Tip-off between the Railsplitters and Bulldogs is slated for 4 PM in Wingate, NC.
