Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial rolled to a straight-sets win over Emory & Henry on Tuesday night, 25–7, 25–10, 25–17, inside Mary Mars Gymnasium.
The Railsplitters were in rhythm from the opening whistle, hitting .696 in the first set and finishing the night at .413 with 39 kills against just six errors. LMU also turned the pressure up at the service line, piling up 12 aces and surrendering only six errors, while limiting the Wasps to .056 hitting.
Kaytlin Johnson paced the attack with 10 kills on .389, while Finley Sparks added eight kills on .444. Megan Maier (7 kills, .500) and Sarah Robbins (6 kills, .500) supplied steady production, and Jazmine Starks chipped in six kills on a blistering .600. The setting combo hummed all night as Lauren Pickett handed out 16 assists and fired five aces, with Carley Raleigh close behind at 13 assists and two aces. Lauren Jacob anchored the defense with a team-high 10 digs and stacked on three aces during LMU's decisive second-set surge.
LMU is back at Mary Mars on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 12:00 p.m. to host Newberry in a SAC matchup.
