Harrogate, TN – Women's Volleyball made it three straight wins on Tuesday night, defeating Mars Hill 3–1 (25–22, 22–25, 25–20, 25–22) in an electric Mary Mars Gym atmosphere to continue their climb up the SAC standings. The victory moves the Railsplitters to 10–13 overall and 6–8 in conference play.
LMU's offense found its rhythm late, hitting .222 in the third and .341 in the fourth to put the match away. Georgia Dobson delivered a complete performance with 14 kills, five aces, and 12 digs, while Megan Maier paced the attack with a match-high 15 kills. Middle Alexia McGee added 11 kills on .318 hitting as the hosts finished at .208 as a team with eight aces and six total blocks.
The setting tandem steered the balanced night: Lauren Pickett posted 23 assists, and eight digs, and Carley Raleigh added 17 assists, 14 digs, and an ace. Libero Lauren Jacob anchored the back row with a match-best 25 digs.
Set one swung on late service pressure as Dobson's run closed out a 25–22 opener; Mars Hill answered to even the match in the second. The Railsplitters seized control with a clinical 25–20 third capped by another Dobson finish and then closed the night with timely pins and first-ball side-outs to take the fourth, 25–22.
Women's Volleyball heads back on the road next, traveling to Newberry on Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. for another SAC test.
