Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial University sophomore Lauren Jacob, libero for the LMU women's volleyball team, has been named this week's First Century Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week. She continues to shine both academically and athletically. Pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Jacob maintains an impressive 3.867 GPA.

As a freshman, Jacob earned multiple academic honors, including placement on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, the LMU Dean's List, and contributing to LMU's 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award. Prior to joining LMU, Jacob was a standout athlete, helping lead her high school team to become the 2023 Ohio Division I State Runner-Up. Returning to the court this season after recovering from injury, Jacob has made a strong impact for the Railsplitters. Over her two seasons at LMU, she has recorded more than 440 career digs, highlighted by a career-high 39 digs in a single match against Coker this past September and five service aces in a match against Newberry in October.

Off the court, Jacob is equally dedicated to her community. She volunteers regularly with the Claiborne County Animal Shelter, assists at LMU Volleyball Youth Camps, RoHo, and lends a hand at various university sporting events throughout the year.
