Men's soccer's Gian-Carlo Kama named First Century Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week

Harrogate, TN. — As Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) enters the NCAA Tournament following a championship season in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), the university proudly recognizes the exceptional achievements of men's soccer standout Gian Carlo Kama, who has been named this week's First Century Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Kama transferred to LMU as a junior from New College of Florida and has since exemplified excellence both academically and athletically. A native of Paris, France, he is completing his Bachelor of Arts in Business with an impressive 3.839 GPA. His academic success has earned him a place on the Dean's List every semester, along with distinctions including the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, ABE Scholar, and the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

Outside the classroom, Kama has demonstrated a strong commitment to service. He has volunteered his time reading to students at Ellen Myers Primary School, supported operations at the Claiborne Animal Shelter, and contributed to programming within the International Student Union. His dedication to the LMU and local community reflects his leadership and character off the field.
On the pitch, Kama has played a pivotal role in LMU's success. His athletic honors include: First Team All-SAC, two-time SAC Offensive Player of the Week, TWSA Player of the Week, SAC Preseason Player to Watch, and two-time LMU Juice Spot Railsplitter of the Week.
