Harrogate, TN –The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team sweeps the Tusculum Pioneers in three, 3-0 for their ninth win of the season.

The Railsplitters dominated the first set, with 11 errors and a -0.16 attack percentage from the Pioneers and a 8-1 Railsplitter run gave LMU the first set 12-25. The second set was a battle in the beginning of the set, but two 5-1 runs in the middle of the set gave Lincoln Memorial enough of a lead to secure the second set 19-15. The third set was back-and-forth, as there were 10 ties until the score was 11-11, where LMU took off on a 8-1 run and took set 3 17-25 to take the match win 3-0.

Johan Negron tallied double-digit kills on the night, recording a team-high 10 kills. John Luers once again led the night in assists with 26, and Axel van Baars and Matthew Gentry both had team-high 2 service aces. Gentry was the team-leader in blocks with 4, and Luers led in digs with 8.

As a team, LMU had a 0.286 attack percentage in the first, 0.4 attack percentage in the second, and 0.462 attack percentage in the third for overall attack percentage of 0.400. The team tallied 32 kills, 5 service aces, 8 blocks, 30 assists, and 22 digs.

With the win, the Railsplitters move to a 9-1 overall record.

They have a short turnaround, as their next match is tomorrow, February 13^th at 6 pm against Lees-McRae in Mary Mars Gymnasium.
