11th-ranked men's basketball seeking sixth consecutive SAC regular season title at home on Senior Night

Harrogate, TN - It's hard to believe, but Saturday marks the last game of the regular season for the 11th-ranked Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team. Lincoln Memorial has had a tremendous regular season, racking up a 22-4 overall record with a 20-3 conference record, ahead of Saturday's Senior Day game against Limestone. The two teams met early in the season with the Railsplitters taking an 83-77 victory on the road at Limestone. The Saints enter the game with an 11-16 overall record, including an 8-15 mark in conference play. With a victory over Carson-Newman at home on Wednesday, Lincoln Memorial secured at least a share of the SAC regular season title. A win on Saturday would give the Railsplitters the outright regular season title.

When the two teams met early in the season, Wes Enis led Lincoln Memorial in scoring, totaling 26 points, connecting on five three pointers. Elyjah Freeman followed with 21 points and eight rebounds. EJ Smith and Mahmoud "Mo" Bangura also tallied double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively.

Enis, who averages 20.7 points-per-game and 4.6 rebounds-per-game, leads Lincoln Memorial in scoring. He is the second leading scorer in the conference. He is followed in scoring by Freeman with 17.6 points-per-game and 8.5 rebounds-per-game. He is the fourth-best rebounder in the conference statistically, trailing the conference leader by 1.4 rebounds per game. Freeman is the highest scoring and rebounding freshman in the conference, coming in at seventh in the conference in scoring and fifth in rebounding. EJ Smith continues to dictate the pace of the offense, averaging 9.7 points-per-game. Jordan Walters is on the cusp of double figures, averaging 8.9 points-per-game to go along with 5.9 rebounds and a team-leading 3.2 assists-per-game.

The Railsplitters are currently fifth in the nation in field goal percentage, 16th in three point field goal percentage, 28th in defensive efficiency, and fifth nationally in offensive efficiency. Lincoln Memorial is ranked first in the conference in fast break points, defensive field goal percentage, free throws made per game, scoring defense, and scoring margin. Walters is 10th nationally and first in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio. Freeman is 24th nationally, and third in the conference, with 10 double-doubles on the season. He is also 25th nationally in field goal percentage. Enis is 26th in the nation in scoring and 17th in the nation in three point field goal percentage, shooting nearly 45% from long range.

Tip-off between the Railsplitters and Saints is slated for 4:00 PM in Tex Turner Arena in Harrogate.
