ROCKHILL, SC - The South Atlantic Conference announced their Men's Tennis All-Conference and Individual Award winners this afternoon. These outstanding Railsplitters received recognition: Ethan Hirons, Radu Florea, Alexandru Giurea, and Hugo Ruiz Espejo. Alexandru Giurea and Hugo Ruiz Espejo were selected for First Team Doubles, and Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea were selected for Third Team Doubles. Alexandru Giurea was selected for First Team Singles and Radu Florea was selected for Second Team Singles. 

Alexandru Giurea, and Hugo Ruiz Espejo have a win-loss record of 12-6 in doubles. The pairing has been unstoppable at No.1 doubles. Their best match was against No. 18 Lee University. These Railsplitters won 6-2. The Third Team Doubles pairing, Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons have a win-loss record of 20-4. This park has been an asset to the team, allowing the team to secure multiple doubles points throughout the season. Their best match was against No. 12 Wingate University, winning 6-2. 

Alexandru Giurea has had a phenomenal singles season with his overall win-loss record being 14-3 at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. His best match was against No. 21 University of North Georgia. He took down his opponent in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. 

Radu Florea has been playing unbelievable this season. He has a win-loss record of 16-3. His best singles match was against No. 12 Wingate University, winning 6-2, 6-1. 

LMU will take on the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championship on Wednesday, April 16th through Friday, April 18th at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, SC. The Railsplitters are the 3rd seed and will play Carson-Newman in the first round.
