Gainesville, Ga. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team opens its 2025–26 campaign September 15–16 at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, hosted at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.
The Railsplitters enter the new season ranked No. 3 nationally in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Preseason Coaches Poll, trailing only No. 1 West Florida and No. 2 North Georgia. Florida Southern and Lee round out the top five.
LMU's lofty preseason ranking comes on the heels of a standout 2024–25 campaign that featured four tournament wins, six top-three finishes, and a Top-10 showing at the NCAA Division II Championship in Palm Beach Gardens. Junior Morgan Cain, a returning GCAA PING All-America Honorable Mention selection, headlines a youthful lineup that features five newcomers making their Railsplitter debut.
The lineup for the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate will include Cain, sophomore returner Ryan Gavin, along with first-years Oliver Ulmo, Dylan Hussey, and Cameron Grabeel. Freshman Harry Dickins will compete as an individual.
"I've been very impressed with the work the men have put in so far this semester," said head coach Brad Robinson. "Our big focus has been on development, and I'm excited by the early signs in our short time on campus. We have a brand-new team with nine newcomers, eight of which are freshmen. The group competing this week is young, but they're eager for the opportunity to represent LMU Golf."
The two-day tournament in Gainesville marks the beginning of a challenging fall slate for the Railsplitters, who will once again test themselves against some of the nation's top Division II programs.
