ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lincoln Memorial junior Morgan Cain has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Cain, a native of Cork, Ireland, earned medalist honors at the 4th Annual Mizuno Intercollegiate, finishing with a three-round total of 209 (–7). After opening with a 73, Cain caught fire with back-to-back rounds of 68, propelling him to the top of the 81-player field. He went on to secure the individual title in a playoff with a par on the first extra hole.

His performance placed him among just 18 golfers to finish under par for the tournament and gave him a weekly stroke average of 69.7. Cain's victory also marks a strong start to the fall for the returning GCAA PING All-America Honorable Mention selection, who continues to build on LMU's national momentum.
