Railsplitters Sweep Emory & Henry on the Road

Emory, VA – Lincoln Memorial bounced back in South Atlantic Conference play on Tuesday night, sweeping Emory & Henry 3–0 (25–21, 25–20, 25–19) inside the John Rutledge King Center. The win lifts the Railsplitters to 7–6 overall and 3–1 in league play.

LMU set the tone early, pulling away late in the opening set to secure a 25–21 win before carrying that momentum into the second, where they took control midway through for a 25–20 decision. In the third, the Railsplitters built an early cushion and kept the Wasps at arm's length to close out the sweep with a 25–19 victory.

Kaytlin Johnson paced the LMU attack with a team-high 14 kills, while Megan Maier added 13 kills and 10 digs for a double-double. Jazmine Starks provided a spark at the net with seven kills on a .429 hitting percentage, and Sarah Robbins contributed four blocks to lead the defense at the net.

Setter Carley Raleigh steered the offense with 40 assists and added eleven digs, while libero Lauren Jacob anchored the back row with 16 digs and a service ace. Laney Inman chipped in five kills and 11 digs, helping LMU out-dig the Wasps 63–56.

The Railsplitters (7–6, 3–1 SAC) will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to Hartsville, S.C., on Saturday, September 27, for a conference matchup at Coker. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
