HARROGATE, TN -  Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball stayed unbeaten to open the 2026 season on Saturday afternoon, sweeping North Greenville 3–0 (25–16, 25–12, 25–23) in Mary Mars Gymnasium on Jersey Night. The Railsplitters move to 2–0 on the year after controlling the first two sets and closing out a tighter third to complete the sweep.

LMU hit .354 as a team with 37 kills and finished with 11 total blocks, while holding North Greenville to a .098 attack percentage. Axel van Baars led the way with a match-high 14 kills on .619 hitting, and Johan Negron added 10 kills while also contributing at the net. Roman Mahlerwein paced the offense with 29 assists and also posted a team-high 10 digs. Defensively, LMU received strong work at the net with multiple players recording five total blocks, and Colton Mendez provided a spark from the service line with two aces as the Railsplitters finished the afternoon with three team aces.

Lincoln Memorial continues its opening homestand next on Friday, Jan. 16 at 6:00 p.m. against Emmanuel University (Ga.) in Mary Mars Gymnasium for Superhero Night.
