Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball continued its strong start to the season Friday night, sweeping Emmanuel University (Ga.) 3–0 (25–15, 25–15, 25–17) inside Mary Mars Gymnasium. The Railsplitters controlled the match from the opening serve, using steady passing and a balanced attack to earn the straight-set win.

LMU hit .333 as a team with 36 kills and added six service aces, while holding Emmanuel to - .129 on the night. Johan Negron led the Railsplitters with 11 kills and added four block assists at the net. Inbar Shachar ran the offense with 26 assists and also finished with a team-high six digs. George Stevens chipped in five kills and paced LMU from the service line with three aces, while Axel van Baars and Relja Milosavljevic each added four kills. Defensively, LMU totaled 6.5 blocks and received five digs apiece from van Baars and Zachary Zian.

Lincoln Memorial jumped ahead early and never let up in the first two sets, then closed the match with a composed third set to complete the sweep. The Railsplitters continue the homestand on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 7:00 p.m. against Erskine College in Mary Mars Gymnasium.
