COLUMBUS, OH - Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball came up short Friday night at the Covelli Center, falling to No. 13 Ohio State in straight sets 3–0 (25–17, 25–16, 28–26). The Railsplitters battled to the finish in the third set, but the Buckeyes closed out the match late to secure the sweep.

Ohio State hit .374 as a team with 45 kills and added 6.5 total blocks and two service aces. LMU finished with 36 kills and 40 digs, but was held to .158 hitting on the night. Johan Negron led the Railsplitters with 13 kills and added 11 digs, while Axel van Baars followed with 11 kills. George Stevens chipped in six kills, and the setting was shared by Inbar Shachar (20 assists) and Roman Mahlerwein (12 assists).

Lincoln Memorial returns home next weekend for a pair of matches at Mary Mars Gymnasium, hosting Northern Kentucky University on Friday, Jan. 30 at 6:00 p.m. for Blackout Night, followed by Belmont Abbey College on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 6:00 p.m. for Navy Out.
