New Orleans, LA – After competing fiercely throughout the fall on the course, the Lincoln Memorial Men's and Women's Cross Country teams carried the success into the classroom, as both were named to the 2025 NCAA Divsion II All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Along with the team success, the Railsplitters saw individual academic recognition, as five from the men's team and six from the women's team were named to the All-Academic athletes list.
To qualify for All-Academic recognition, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet. Individuals must have a 3.25 GPA or higher and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship to qualify for All-Academic status.
In individual honors, the men's team saw Luis Boerkey, Roman Borgetti-Metz, Jaxson Branham, Simon Fillers, and Sam Fulton earn All-Academic status. Fulton adds to his academic recognition from this season after being named the South Atlantic Conference Men's XC Scholar Athlete of the Year
Jacie Begley, Theresa Brosthaus, Greta Chizzali, Reaghan Curde, Emma Hainzer, and Weslyn McIntosh were all named academic All-Americans from the women's team.
On the team side, the Mens team earned their honors with a 3.59 team GPA, while the Women's mark of 3.75 puts them in the top 20 nationally for all teams recognized.
