HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Lincoln Memorial University women's golf team returns to competition Feb. 16–17 as it opens the spring portion of the 2025–26 season at the Battle at Hilton Head, hosted by Lincoln Memorial at the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes Golf Course.
The two-day event will feature a competitive NCAA Division II field that includes several nationally ranked programs. Among the top teams expected in the field are Wingate University women's golf (No. 1), Dallas Baptist University women's golf (No. 2), Anderson University women's golf (No. 3), and University of Findlay women's golf (No. 4). The tournament also includes No. 9 University of North Georgia women's golf and No. 10 University of Indianapolis women's golf, providing a strong early-spring measuring stick.
Lincoln Memorial enters the spring ranked No. 34 nationally following a fall season highlighted by multiple solid team finishes. The Railsplitters opened the year with a fourth-place finish at the UIndy Women's Fall Invitational in Henryville, Indiana, before placing seventh at the St. Simons Intercollegiate. LMU closed the fall on a high note with a tie for fourth at the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Invite, marking one of the team's strongest performances of the season.
With a balanced fall résumé and experience against ranked competition, the Battle at Hilton Head provides an opportunity for the Railsplitters to build momentum and continue climbing the national standings. Serving as host adds another layer of familiarity as LMU looks to set a strong tone for the spring championship segment of the schedule.
Tee times begin Monday morning, with live scoring available via the tournament's online leaderboard.
