Hilton Head Island, S.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University Women's Golf team wrapped up play at the Battle at Hilton Head at Palmetto Dunes Golf Club (RTJ Course) with a 4th-place finish, posting (+43) 313–297–297–907 in the 54-hole event.
Taking first place was No. 1 Wingate University at (+18) 306–284–292–882. No. 1 Lander University finished runner-up at (+38) 302–297–303–902, while No. 9 North Georgia placed third at (+41) 309–305–291–905.
Leading the Railsplitters was Dilyara Bulambayeva, who tied for 4th at (+6) 79–69–74–222. Ruby McLellan finished T-16 at (+12) 80–73–75–228, while Millie Russell tied for 28th at (+16) 77–82–73–232. Reese Rexroat closed T-30 at (+17) 77–81–75–233, and Joy Aspetaki finished 40th at (+21) 84–74–79–237. Competing as an individual, Kaelyn Preston (IND) tied for 71st at (+36) 84–84–84–252.
As a team, LMU led the field with 33 birdies and ranked among the top teams in par-4 scoring average (4.30), showing consistency throughout the week against a field that included multiple nationally ranked programs.
The Railsplitters return to action February 23–24 at the LR / Dunes West Intercollegiate in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
