Men’s Volleyball Falls at CSUN to Open California Road Trip

NORTHRIDGE, CA – Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball dropped a 3–0 decision at CSUN on Wednesday night. The Matadors set the tone early and maintained control throughout, finishing the match with 44 kills and a .438 hitting percentage. LMU totaled 26 kills and hit .081 for the match.

CSUN jumped out quickly in the opening set, holding the Railsplitters to six kills. Lincoln Memorial showed improvement in the second and third sets, producing 9 and 11 kills respectively, but the Matadors continued to score efficiently and closed out the match in straight sets.

Johan Negron led LMU with nine kills, while Axel van Baars added six kills and recorded LMU's lone service ace. Colton Mendez chipped in four kills and added four digs. Inbar Shachar paced the offense with 14 assists, and Zachary Zian anchored the back row with a team-high seven digs. At the net, Relja Milosavljevic and Oisin Walsh each posted two blocks to help LMU finish with four total team blocks.

Lincoln Memorial continues its West Coast swing this weekend, traveling to UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Feb. 20 (10:00 p.m. ET) before closing the trip at Pepperdine on Saturday, Feb. 21 (10:00 p.m. ET).
