MALIBU, CA - Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball wrapped up its West Coast swing Saturday night with a 3-0 loss at Pepperdine. The Waves took the match in straight sets, 25-16, 25-16, 25-18, using an efficient attack and steady pressure from the service line to control all three sets.
Pepperdine finished with 43 kills and hit .541 as a team, committing just three attack errors on 74 attempts. Lincoln Memorial recorded 32 kills and hit .205, while totaling 22 digs and three service aces in the match.
Offensively for LMU, Johan Negron and Axel van Baars paced the Railsplitters with eight kills each, with van Baars also adding two aces. Relja Milosavljevic contributed five kills, while Inbar Shachar directed the offense with 25 assists. In the back row, van Baars and Zachary Zian shared the team lead with five digs apiece.
Lincoln Memorial returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 5:00 p.m. with a road match at Thomas More University in Crestview Hills, Ky.
