Harrogate, TN – After closing out the regular season with a win, the Lincoln Memorial Men's Wrestling team heads to Greenwood, South Carolina to compete in the regional championship, hosted by Lander University on Saturday.
The Railsplitters earned a win to end the season against Emory & Henry, defeating the Wasps 34-23 to end the year at 1-12 and 1-10 in conference play while competing in two individual competitions during the season.
Porter Finstad led the Splitters in his senior season, winning 10 bouts including both on senior day against Lander and Bluefield State. LMU also saw success from James Thaxton and Brady Comerford throughout the season.
Lincoln Memorial will be joined by 11 other schools at the regional championship. The top three wrestlers from each weight class will qualify for the NCAA Division II Championship in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
