Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball earned a 3–1 win over the University of Charleston on Friday night in Harrogate, taking the match by set scores of 25–21, 19–25, 25–22, 25–23. After Charleston evened the match in set two, the Railsplitters responded with strong finishes in the final two sets to close out the night.
LMU finished with 52 kills and hit .250 as a team, totaling 50 assists, 31 digs, 11 team blocks, and three service aces. Charleston recorded 50 kills and hit .232, adding 10 total blocks and three aces in a tightly contested match.
Georgios Armaos led the Railsplitters offensively with 18 kills on .375 hitting, while Zadyn LaBreche and
Axel van Baars added 11 kills each.
Inbar Shachar directed the attack with 42 assists, and LaBreche anchored the back row with a team-high eight digs. At the net,
Oisin Walsh had a big night defensively with six total blocks, helping LMU win key points down the stretch.
Lincoln Memorial returns to action on Saturday, March 21 at 2 p.m. to face Catawba College in Harrogate.
