HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial softball picked up a pair of big South Atlantic Conference wins on Saturday at Dorothy Neely Softball Complex, taking Game 1 by a 9-5 final before beating Newberry 8-7 in the nightcap.
LMU set the tone early in the opener, building a 3-0 lead after two innings and adding another run in the fifth. Newberry answered with a three-run fifth to jump in front, 5-4, but the Railsplitters responded with the biggest swing of the afternoon in the bottom of the sixth.
