HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University softball returns to the Dorothy Neely Softball Complex this weekend for Senior Day, hosting South Atlantic Conference foe Catawba in a Saturday doubleheader. First pitch is set for 2 p.m., with game two to follow at 4 p.m. as LMU celebrates seniors Hanna Bogoski, Bri Baer, Nicole Couvertiere, and Gracie Palmer.
The Railsplitters enter the weekend 16-20 overall and 8-8 in SAC play, sitting in a crowded middle of the conference race with the top eight teams earning spots in the SAC Tournament. LMU is currently tied at .500 in league action, with multiple teams grouped closely around the cut line, making Saturday's twin bill a key opportunity to gain ground in the standings.
Offensively, LMU has been led all season by a balanced lineup. Reese Vivrette paces the Railsplitters at .381 with 32 runs and 17 RBI, while Bogoski is hitting .34,3 and Couvertiere checks in at .284. Palmer has provided production in the middle of the order with 17 RBI and 21 runs scored.
Catawba arrives 22-15 overall and 8-4 in the SAC, currently fourth in the league standings. The Indians bring one of the conference's most dangerous offenses, led by Brianna Gallagher (.440, 42 RBI, 7 HR) and a lineup that is batting .321 as a team with 36 home runs. In the circle, Catawba features a deep staff with multiple arms logging significant innings.
Historically, the series has been tight. LMU holds an 18-16-1 advantage all-time against Catawba, though the Indians have won the last two meetings (Apr. 5, 2025). Saturday's matchup adds another important chapter, this time with postseason positioning and Senior Day on the line.
