ROCK HILL, SC – Lincoln Memorial University men's golf freshman Harry Dickins was named the South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team, the league announced.
A native of Salisbury, England (Wyvern St Edmund's), Dickins has put together one of the top debut seasons in Division II. He enters the postseason ranked No. 20 nationally and No. 6 in the region, while posting a 70.6 adjusted scoring average over 30 rounds.
Dickins' breakout moment came at the First Federal Southeastern Collegiate (Mar. 9–10), where he captured medalist honors with a three-round 13-under performance and collected 93.07 weighted points. He has continued to deliver in big fields throughout the spring, highlighted by a runner-up finish at LMU's Tennessee River Rumble (Mar. 23–24) at 8-under and another strong showing at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate with an eighth-place finish at 3-over.
With one win and two additional top-three finishes this year, Dickins has been a steady anchor at the top of the Railsplitters' lineup during a spring surge that has included multiple podium team finishes against ranked competition.
Lincoln Memorial will continue postseason play this week at the SAC Championship, with Dickins leading the charge as the Railsplitters look to turn their momentum into a conference title push.
