Harry Dickins Claims Individual Title as Men’s Golf Advances to Match Play

GREENVILLE, SC – Lincoln Memorial University men's golf delivered a championship week to remember as freshman Harry Dickins captured the 2026 SAC Individual Tournament Championship at The Preserve at Verdae, leading the Railsplitters to a second-place finish in stroke play and a spot in Tuesday's medal match play semifinals against Catawba.

Dickins finished 10-under par to earn medalist honors after rounds of 68-70-68, sealing the title with a clutch closing stretch that saw him birdie the final three holes to pull away late. His win capped another standout performance in a spring filled with big moments and kept LMU in the hunt as the team pushed through the final round to lock up a top-four seed.

As a team, the Railsplitters posted a three-round total of +1 to finish runner-up in stroke play and advance to match play. Ryan Gavin added a major score near the top of the leaderboard, tying for fourth at +1 with rounds of 76-69-72, giving LMU a second All-Tournament performance. Edward Mason finished tied for 12th, while Morgan Cain placed tied for 15th, helping LMU stack enough depth across the lineup to stay comfortably inside the cut line and earn a semifinal berth.

Match play begins Tuesday at The Preserve at Verdae, where Lincoln Memorial will face No. 9 Catawba in the semifinals with a spot in the SAC Championship match on the line.
